Striving to be a strong community partner, we partner with a different community organization each month through our Quotes for a Cause program. Our agency donates $5 per new business quote, regardless of whether or not the policy is actually purchased! We would like to expand their reach and give each month's organization some space to share their story!

This month, we are partnering with the Against All Odds Foundation. Founded in 1999, this foundation supports cancer survivors with their imminent needs such as phone bills, groceries, co-payment of prescription medication, etc. The organization, led by two-time Breast Cancer survivor Shirley M. Carter-Powell, also partners with other non-profit organizations in their mission of supporting cancer survivors and other health disparities.

Next month, during Labor Day Weekend (Aug. 31 - Sept. 2), Against All Odds will be  hosting their annual Michigan Chicken Wing Festival at Adado Riverfront Park. This event located in downtown Lansing will include live music, chicken wings, vendors, a beer/wine tent and so much more! Tickets can be purchased online, with a portion of the entry fee supporting cancer survivors and the Bobbie Jackson Fund. Cancer survivors, seniors (65 & over) and children (12 & under) attend free.
