REPORTS TO: President
PRIMARY ROLE: Sell new business to ensure continued profitable growth according to specific goals. Prospect for new clients. Sell additional coverages to existing clients.
QUALIFICATIONS: Be a good person. Love the Lansing community. Prior sales experience preferred, but not required. Must get licsensed. Excellent communication skills essential.
DUTIES: Develop and implement an approved sales business plan, based on global agency sales goals. Meet annual sales goals.
Actively cross sell and refer prospects to the appropriate department.
Maintain prospect list of clients for agency's targeted business in agency prospect system.
Contact prospects, schedule appointments, and make sales presentations.
Complete applications and proposals in appropriate carrier proprietary system
Cooperate in gathering information on renewals as needed
Balance production to achieve desired mix of business.
Arrange for smooth handoff of new accounts to Personal Lines Account Managers.
Keep abreast of trends and techniques,
Participate in/direct any special projects at management’s request.
PAY: Decreasing base salary + commission with unlimited earning potential
