At Rathbun Insurance, "Being There Matters Most," and yesterday, our Producer, Heather Cooper-Kim, embodied that commitment once again. As an active member of the South Lansing Business Association (SLBA), Heather spent her afternoon participating in the biannual Team Up 2 CleanUp event, where SLBA members and community partners come together to clean up and beautify the South Lansing area.
The South Lansing Business Association was formed in 1980 as a civic organization dedicated to the betterment of Lansing, with a specific focus on the south side. The SLBA brings together members from all walks of life—small business owners, community leaders, bankers, lawyers, and industry officials—all with one common goal: to support and improve South Lansing. Over the years, the SLBA has worked on critical issues such as improvements to Cedar Street, local business district clean-ups, and sign ordinance legislation. The organization also plays a key role in maintaining strong communication between government and private enterprise, ensuring the community's voice is always heard.
Heather has been involved with the SLBA for many years, and we’re proud to see her making an impact in our community. Her dedication to initiatives like Team Up 2 CleanUp is a reflection of our mission to serve the Greater Lansing community and truly "be there" when it matters.
