We are excited to run a monthly Quotes for a Cause campaign. Each month, our agency will be donating $5 per new business quote to a nonprofit or charitable organization, regardless of whether or not the policy is actually purchased.

The Capital Area College Access Network (CapCAN) is a community collaborative focused on making completion of post-secondary education an achievable reality for all residents of the capital area. Their geographic area includes Ingham and Eaton counties with a goal to increase college and postsecondary readiness, participation, and completion. CapCAN targets their support and services to low-income, communities of color, and first-generation students.

For March’s Quotes for a Cause, we are supporting CapCAN’s Upper Peninsula College Tour. They will be taking 30 local students on a tour throughout the upper peninsula to visit Northern Michigan University, Michigan Technological University, Finlandia University and Lake Superior State University.

For many of these students, the College Tour is the first time they have been gone more than a night from their homes or even spent the night outside of Lansing. During the trip, students learn about majors they have never heard of before and have access to Deans of several different colleges. They get the opportunity to stay with a current college student, eat in the dorms and experience some of the Upper Peninsula’s vast history.

The trip allows future college students to experience a bit of what life is like as a college student. Supporting this initiative will make a positive impact on several location children that will shape their futures. If you are able to give, please support CapCAN via their fundraising page!
