We are excited to run a monthly Quotes for a Cause campaign. Each month, our agency will be donating $5 per new business quote to a nonprofit or charitable organization, regardless of whether or not the policy is actually purchased.

For the month of November, we are partnering with The Village Lansing. The Village works to see communities within Lansing thrive. They get to know the communities, schools, neighborhood, families and kids in our community to address current needs. Their current programming includes:

• Angelo's Gift - The Village Lansing partners with the Ingham County Health Department and Coat of Many Colors to provide access to confidential, trauma-informed, person-centered support for people impacted by gun violence in our community. They aim to pick up where other resources leave off and fill gaps that will support people through difficult times.
• Village Chess Club - This 13-week program for children in grades 6-12 meets for an hour twice a week. The Chess Club aims to give an appreciation of how thoughts affect outcomes, how every decision affects every outcome, and the ability to see the bigger picture. They believe that by eaching the game of chess, they are giving our young people the appreciation for their own thought processes. The Village aims to give kids the tolls to think before they act that they can apply to everyday situations and life.
• 2A Twenty One in 2021 - This program offers free CPL certification for those 21 and older and iams to curb the school to prison pipeline. The Village Lansing and The Advocates have teamed up to educate young adults using the proven tactics of education versus abstinence. They believe that when young people are educated on the privilege of their second amendment rights, firearms safety, responsible gun ownership and behavior, conflict resolution, and conflict avoidance, the likelihood that they will use them inappropriately greatly diminishes.
• Making Money Moves - Aims to give young people with an interest in a career in real estate a clear path, mentorship, tools and resources to achieve this goal.
