This month, we are proud to sponsor the National African-American Insurance Association (NAAIA) Detroit/Michigan 2024 Scholarship Breakfast. As members of NAAIA (National African-American Insurance Association) since 2021, we have actively engaged in discussions around diversity and inclusion within the insurance industry. Through our involvement with the Detroit/Michigan chapter, we have collaborated with NAAIA to create opportunities for students pursuing careers in insurance.

The National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) was organized to create a network among people of color and others employed in or affiliated with the insurance industry. The association currently has 15 chapters, with 2 others in development, throughout the nation and its members represent every sector of the industry. Pooling this wealth of talent contributes significantly to the association and its members through the sharing of professional knowledge, information and experiences.  NAAIA attempts on a continuous basis to promote and enhance professionalism in a manner that leads to industry recognition and career opportunities for its members.

We are delighted to sponsor this year's Scholarship Breakfast, which will be held on April 30. Following the event, six members of the Rathbun team will attend the NAAIA Midwest Regional Forum on innovation in insurance and adapting to global challenges. We are especially excited that Rathbun Insurance CEO and producer, Ben Rathbun, will be speaking on "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Protecting Non Profits" and Rathbun producer, Darren Bardell, will be speaking on "Revolutionizing Strategies for Progressive DEI Culture."
