Today, Rathbun Insurance had the privilege of attending the Cristo Rey Community Center’s Economic Empowerment Forum, an event that shed light on crucial issues surrounding financial empowerment. Additionally, the event tackled the perils of payday lending, with Dallas Lenear of Project GREEN sharing poignant stories of individuals affected by predatory financial practices.
State Rep. Abraham Aiyash also took the stage to discuss legislative solutions, highlighting a house bill aimed at reforming the fee structure for payday lenders—a crucial step towards protecting vulnerable communities from exploitative financial practices.
