At Rathbun Insurance, we believe that “Being There Matters Most.” Our commitment to the Lansing community continues to evolve through thoughtful partnerships, such as our ongoing collaboration with 7C Lingo and local nonprofits. We are excited to announce a new initiative in partnership with Allen Neighborhood Center(ANC) to address the significant barriers to insurance access faced by many, particularly Limited English Individuals (LEI).
Through numerous conversations with community and church leaders, individuals, and friends like Joe Garcia, CEO of Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton & Clinton Counties (CCIEC), one message has come through loud and clear: If we truly want to serve our communities, we need to show up where people are. We need to be present, provide education, and serve as a trusted resource.
While Rathbun Insurance offers access to many insurance markets, we understand that we may not always have the right solution for everyone. However, we can still provide insurance education and guidance, answering questions about risk management, coverage, and policies—without any obligation to ever purchase a policy from us. This initiative is not about selling insurance but about addressing the access gap for LEI residents in Lansing.
With the support of 7C Lingo, a leading provider of translation services, and a strong local partner like Allen Neighborhood Center, we believe we can begin to bridge this gap. Starting Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Rathbun Insurance will hold office hours at the Allen Neighborhood Center's conference room, continuing every Wednesday through December 18, 2024.
These sessions are an extension of our main office on Saginaw and Pine Street, and we are bringing the same level of care and attention to ANC. Two Rathbun Insurance Producers (agents) and one Account Manager will be present to answer any insurance-related questions. Whether you are an English speaker or an LEI, we invite you to stop by. Thanks to our partnership with 7C Lingo, we will have access to on-demand translation services via phone or video call, ensuring that language is not a barrier to receiving the help you need.
Our goal is simple: to improve access to insurance education. This is a pilot program, and we will evaluate its success in December. If it proves effective, we hope to replicate this model with other nonprofits across Lansing.
At Rathbun Insurance, we’re not just here to sell policies—we’re here to help. We look forward to serving the Lansing community in this new way and seeing if we can make meaningful strides in improving access to insurance education for everyone.
Feel free to visit us during our office hours at Allen Neighborhood Center or contact us if you have any questions. Let’s continue this important conversation together!
