We are so pumped to share some exciting news—this time, we are the client! Rathbun Insurance is thrilled to announce our unique partnership with the Michigan State University (MSU) Advanced 486 Class, also known as Integrated Campaigns. This partnership is part of the senior capstone course for Advertising Management and Advertising Creative majors in the Department of Advertising + Public Relations at MSU's College of Communication Arts & Sciences.
At Rathbun Insurance, we love our community. This partnership came to life thanks to our incredible team being out in the community, connecting, and simply being themselves. We love Lansing and every opportunity we have to give back, and this amazing partnership allows us to do just that while also contributing to the development of future professionals.
This collaboration gives us an incredible opportunity to work alongside a talented group of 30 students, divided into five teams. Each student will take on roles like Account Executive, Research Planner, Art Director, Copywriter, PR Director, and Media Director. Over the course of the semester (August to December), they’ll dive into everything that goes into a full-fledged marketing campaign—research, strategy, creative development, copywriting, media planning, and public relations. By the end, each group will present their unique ideas to us, and we’ll have the chance to use their hard work in our marketing and communication efforts.
A special synergy in this partnership is that there are several MSU athletes in this class, and our very own Heather Cooper-Kim, a former MSU gymnast, was able to connect with current gymnasts.
It’s another amazing way to build relationships and rapport, strengthening our bond with the MSU community.
To kick off this partnership, our Chief Operating Office, Laura Stoken gave an in-person presentation a few weeks ago, sharing our history, brand, and goals. Today, we welcomed the students to the Rathbun office. Their visit will help them get a better feel for what an independent insurance agency like ours is all about. They also captured some video for their project and said hello to all staff!
This is a wonderful opportunity that aligns perfectly with our vision of "Being There Matters Most." We can’t wait to see the fresh ideas these students bring to the table, and we’re proud to continue showing our love for Lansing through initiatives like this!
