On Saturday, October 5, Rathbun Insurance proudly participated in the 32nd Annual Walk for the Animals, hosted by the Capital Area Humane Society, at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge. Our team set up a booth and joined in the fun for a day filled with fun, fur, and fundraising.
Our CEO, Ben Rathbun, and his furry companion, Pepper, were joined by Rathbun Producer Yuxuan Gao and her pup, along with VP of Sales Jennifer Bates and her new dog, Corky. Account Manager Cheryl Grimes also joined the pack!
By taking part in this heartwarming event, we helped support the lives of homeless and abandoned pets in our community. It was a wonderful opportunity to gather with friends, family, and furry companions, creating unforgettable memories while contributing to a noble cause.
The event featured a variety of exciting activities, including:
- A 1-mile walk for our four-legged friends
- Doggy costume contests to showcase creativity and cuteness
- An ice cream eating contest for the pups
- A silent auction filled with fantastic items
- A scavenger hunt for fun prizes
- Trick or treating for the kids (and dogs!)
- Various vendors and food trucks offering delicious treats and unique products
It was a fantastic day to celebrate our furry friends and contribute to a worthy cause. We encourage everyone to gather their friends, family, and furry companions to form a Walk team for next year’s event. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals in need!
