At Rathbun Insurance, Being There Matters Most is more than just our vision statement—it’s how we live, work, and serve our community. CEO Ben Rathbun recently took this philosophy to heart by swapping his CEO hat for a principal’s badge at Sheridan Road STEM Magnet School as part of the Ingham ISD Principal for a Day program.
The day offered Ben an up-close look at the challenges and rewards of leading a school. With guidance from Principal Dom Lacolla, Ben spent time engaging with students, observing classroom activities, and learning about the innovative ways Sheridan Road supports young minds. His takeaway?
"Leading a school is no easy task. But it’s incredibly rewarding. Big shoutout to Principal Dom Lacolla for showing me the ropes today 🙌🏼," said Ben.
This experience reinforced our belief that showing up for the kids in our community is one of the most important investments we can make. Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders, and we all share a responsibility in shaping their success.
