Today, on Veterans Day, we're proud to share how Producer Darren Rathbun exemplified this value by honoring those who have served our country. As an active member of the Delta-Waverly Rotary Club, Darren joined forces with his fellow Rotarians at One North Kitchen & Bar in Lansing to serve over 120 meals to veterans, showing deep gratitude for their service and sacrifice.
The Delta-Waverly Rotary Club, part of the larger Rotary International network, is driven by a mission to unite leaders from all walks of life to serve
their communities and foster goodwill. The club, led by Melissa Nay—Membership & Community Outreach Manager at Choose Lansing and a passionate advocate for the Greater Lansing region—organizes numerous initiatives throughout the year to strengthen the bonds within the community. Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self was truly on display today, as members of the club, including Darren, worked together to create a memorable celebration for veterans.
Melissa, who serves as the President of the Delta-Waverly Rotary, orchestrated a warm welcome for veterans that included the spirited sounds of the Waverly High School Marching Band, creating a festive and honoring atmosphere as veterans entered One North Kitchen & Bar. This event brought together countless individuals, from volunteers and community leaders to young musicians, all dedicated to expressing gratitude for our veterans. The day was a powerful example of the impact that collective service and community support can have.
