This month, Rathbun Insurance is proud to spotlight the Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB), a vital organization working tirelessly to combat hunger in mid-Michigan. Since 1981, GLFB has been at the forefront of addressing food insecurity, ensuring that individuals, families, and neighbors across seven counties have access to the nutritious food they need to support their health and well-being.

GLFB serves a 4,000-square-mile area, covering Clare, Clinton, Eaton, Gratiot, Ingham, Isabella, and Shiawassee counties. As a food bank rather than a pantry, GLFB has the unique capacity to source, warehouse, and distribute millions of pounds of food, reaching a much larger area than a neighborhood-based pantry could support. With an extensive network of over 140 partner organizations, GLFB reaches any individual or family in need within its service area, making a significant impact on hunger throughout the region.

A proud partner of Feeding America, GLFB is connected to a nationwide network of food banks, food pantries, and meal programs united in the fight against hunger. Together, they amplify their efforts, leveraging resources and connections to deliver food security to communities across the United States.
