This January, we are proud to highlight the incredible work of Haven House, a local organization dedicated to supporting families facing homelessness on their journey to stable housing.

Haven House's mission is clear and impactful: to guide and support families who face homelessness on their paths to stable homes. Their vision is a community where all families thrive at home, achieved through programs rooted in their core values of integrity, accessibility, empowerment, and compassion. Since 1983, Haven House has provided temporary shelter to homeless families, evolving into a multifaceted organization offering not just basic necessities like food and clothing but also comprehensive support programs designed to foster long-term stability.

Haven House’s services extend far beyond immediate shelter. Families at Haven House receive personalized assistance with daily progress meetings to secure permanent housing within a sustainable budget. After moving into permanent homes, families receive follow-up care for up to a year through the Partners in Progress (PIP) Program. This program helps clients set goals, access resources, and develop skills like budgeting and parenting. Dedicated volunteers support Haven House by engaging with families, organizing activities, and helping the shelter run smoothly. Haven House also works proactively to prevent homelessness by providing education, training, and resources to at-risk families, ensuring they are equipped to maintain stability.
