Each month, we proudly donate $1,000 to an organization working to strengthen and uplift our community.

For March 2025, we are honored to support the Stewards of Nature At-Risk Youth Program through Nottingham Nature Nook. This innovative initiative is designed to foster emotional resilience, self-regulation, and personal growth for at-risk youth, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has exacerbated anxiety and depression among young people.

The Stewards of Nature program takes a holistic, nature-based approach to mental health and well-being, offering young participants opportunities to engage in:

🌿 Equine therapy – Interacting with horses provides a therapeutic outlet for building confidence, emotional awareness, and trust.

🦉 Wildlife rescue – Caring for rescued animals fosters empathy and responsibility while providing a sense of purpose.

🌱 Community gardening – Working with nature cultivates patience, mindfulness, and a connection to the environment.

👩‍🔧 Hands-on internships – Participants gain valuable skills through meaningful projects that build self-esteem and life skills.

By immersing youth in nature, reducing reliance on technology, and facilitating interactions with animals, this program creates a safe, supportive space for emotional healing and long-term well-being.
